Okay, so for English we had to partner up and re-write a passage from Beowolf in our own words, but it still had to be in poem-ish form with fancy language and whatnot... Well, Taylor and I got really into it and were looking up sweet words in the thesaurus and whatever. I dunno, but I'm actually really proud of the end product. xD
My brave and boldest king Approached me and bid farewell. He explained how shield nor sword Would be on his person if not for The dragon’s vicious vitality. He was the essence of that which Makes a magnate, proclaiming as he Left us that he shall conquer all Who threaten his kingdom. As he turned from us, sauntering To the fire beast’s hoard, I beheld The mark of valor upon his back. Our battle-seasoned king charged Into the molten den out of which None had come before. Our fearless baron raised his voice To the heavens and pleaded For the death of the monstrous intruder. The fiend spewed forth its fiery rage At its mortal guest who crouched, Poised for the coming confrontation. The poisoned inferno licked around The edges of his armament, liquefying it Into rivers of scorching iron. He plunged His famous sword into the depths of the Beast, shattering the black in the process. Alas his triumphs ceased in relevance And my mighty king fell from his throne.
